2021 Subscriptions (Renewals only) are proposed by the Committee to be reduced to £5.00 if paid by January 31st 2021 or £15.00 if paid after 31st January 2021- thereby offering a £10 discount. In reality after BMAF and EAMA affiliation fees are paid, NEMAA's income from subscriptions would be zero in 2021 if everyone paid by 31/1/21. To be ratified at the AGM. You can pay on line at our "NEMAA SHOP" on our website. You may also send a cheque/order or cash for £5 Payable to “ North East Masters Athletics Association“ to:- Membership Secretary, George Routledge, 5 St Hildas Avenue, Holy Cross, Wallsend, Tyne & Wear NE28 7AB. Email George if you wish to pay by bank transfer. If you are posting a cheque or cash for subs - please also include your Blue or Yellow Membership Card - so that it can be signed - and a stamped addressed envelope for its return. .NB: Subs for 2021 sent after Jan 31st 2021 will be £15.00
There's no need to post your Membership Card if you've paid online. It can be signed later at one of our events. Please notify George if you change your club, your address or email address and if you wish to receive the newsletter by email in the future. If you have not already paid your 2020 subscriptions please send an extra £15, if you have already paid your 2021 subscriptions or have just joined NEMAA in the last few months of 2020 - please ignore this reminder.

The Committee would like to encourage all masters (veterans) who have NEVER been a member of the Masters Association – in its present or past form – to join NEMAA for only £15. This rate is only for brand new first time members who have never joined NEMAA or VAANEE in the past. This rate is also available to former members who have let their subs lapse or have left NEMAA in recent years. Past members who wish to re-join NEMAA will be required to re-join at a rate of £15.00 for 2021 only.

We hope you have all been staying safe and keeping fit during the Covid-19 pandemic and can look forward to better and happier times when athletics make a comeback.
As you can imagine there’s not a lot of news and reports to write about but hopefully competition can return soon.
Our NEMAA AGM was held on Zoom on Monday 11th January 2021 at 7.00pm . The Committee offered a vote of thanks to outgoing Chair – Ron Stewart and Treasurer Bill Doidge for their dedicated work and service to the Association. Archie Jenkins was elected as Secretary ,George Routledge was elected as Chair , and Jon Archer as Treasurer for the ensuing year.

Please let Archie know if you have any items for discussion, ideas or concerns . Any proposals or nominations for Officers and members of the Committee can also be sent prior to the AGM to Secretary Archie Jenkins before 28th December 2021.
NEMAA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021
The NEMAA Cross Country Championships in 2021 was due be Covid-19 compliant over a one lap 3km course and was planned to be organized by Heaton Harriers on Saturday 6th February 2021 at Wallsend Rising Sun Sports Ground, Kings Road North, Wallsend, Tyne and Wear NE28 9JJ .This event was also to include England Masters Inter-Area XC competition. Due to present Covid-19 restrictions the event is postponed until a new date and perhaps a new venue can be found. Information and entries hopefully available soon online on our website.

The NEMAA Committee would like to ask North East area clubs to consider staging this event in 2022.
TRACK & FIELD.
The NEMAA Track & Field fixtures at Monkton Stadium hopefully will return in 2021. More information soon.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL NEMAA MEMBERS.
NEMAA is affiliated to BMAF (the British Masters Athletics Association) and in order for NEMAA members to be able to enter BMAF , European and World Masters events they must be registered online with BMAF Open Track - and can only enter these events on line via BMAF Open Track. Paper entry forms are no longer acceptable.
If you are planning to enter future BMAF, European or World Masters events please ask NEMAA Membership Secretary George Routledge (NTMMNEVACSEC2013@hotmail.co.uk) to set up a BMAF profile for you. Please do not try to set up a profile of your own . BMAF OpenTrack can then be used directly by NEMAA members to enter BMAF , European and World Masters events and also manage their membership data.
Assistance to open competitors and fallback technical support will be provided by the BMAF support team Peter Kennedy/Alex Rowe via the email address firstname.lastname@example.org. Queries from NEMAA members who are having problems signing up should contact the NEMAA secretary .
Paper entry forms will however, still be acceptable for most other NEMAA Championships, events and subs renewals.

GOLDEN RULE NUMBER ONE - IF THE EVENT HAS "Championships" after it - the are NO ENTRIES ON THE DAY.
