At this years AGM it was agreed to set subscriptions at £20.00 per year, There was a £6.00 discount if paid before January 31st 2014. Subscriptions for 2014 are now overdue. Please send a cheque/order for £20 Payable to “ N.E.M.A.A. “ to:-Membership Secretary, George Routledge, 5 St Hildas Avenue, Holy Cross, Wallsend, Tyne & Wear NE28 7AB. Please include your Blue or Yellow Membership Card- so that it can be signed- and a stamped addressed envelope for its return. Please notify George if you change your club,your address or Email address and if you wish to receive the newsletter by Email in the future. If you have already paid your subscriptions, please ignore this reminder. If you have still not paid 2013 subs please send an extra £20.
THE NEMAA A.G.M. was held on Monday January 13th 2014 at 7pm at Gateshead International Stadium, Neilson Road , Gateshead.The AGM was qiute poorly attended compared to the number of registered members, however the Committee would like to thank all those who attended. There was also an EGM in November where the motion on the agenda to decide whether to change the name of VAANE-E to include the word “masters” was passed. It was also agreed to change the quorum figures in the Association’s Constitution.
NEMAA members who wish to be considered for the England Cross Country team in the British and Irish Masters Cross Country International at Wollaton Park, Nottingham on Saturday 22nd November 2014 should contact Harry Matthews for an application form . Email: Harryrun@talktalk.net
NEMAA members are reminded that they are welcome to enter teams in the North East Counties AA Sprint Relays which are to be held at Monkton, Jarrow on September 10th 2014.
NEW* NEMAA Fell Running Championships will be incorporated within the Saltwell Harriers Fell Race on Tuesday 1st July 2014. Entries on the night only. Remember to quote your NEMAA Membership number to be included in the Championships.
The NEMAA 2014 Track & Field fixtures at Monkton Stadium will be as follows:- May 19th League # 1 June 2nd League # 2 June 16th League # 3 June 28th. T&F Championships July 7th League # 4 July 21st League # 5 Sept 13th Pentathlon & 5k/10k Track Championships All dates to be confirmed. July 7th. Hammer. Javelin. (Weight) Long Jump. Triple Jump. 100m. 300m. 800m. July 21st. Discus. Shot. (Weight) Triple Jump. High Jump. 100m. 3000m. 300m. NB: The Weight will not count in the League and Individual competitions. See attached League rules. Field events start at 6.30pm and Track events at 7.00 pm. A timetable of events will be available on our website soon. Weight events are restricted to competitors who have obtained the event standard . Points scored in these events will NOT count towards individual awards or in the team competition. Competitors must wear the club vest of the club they represent at all the Track & Field League fixtures. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
