NECAA provisionally hope to re-arrange this event for Saturday 10th April at Thornley Hall. Further information will be available when England Athletics publish their latest "return to competition" guidelines. All entries already made will of course be valid for this new date - any new entries are now being accepted, see entry form at bottom of page.

ARRIVE - DECLARE - RACE - LEAVE
COVID GUIDANCE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES MUST BE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMES
ARRIVE – Thornley Hall Farm, Peterlee, DH6 3LY. From the west A181 go right around Old Thornley roundabout heading west again (i.e. turn back on yourself) and take the second entrance left as instructed. From the east as above after the roundabout. No right turns on or onto the A181 (arriving and leaving). Exit towards the 1st entrance to the farm i.e. one-way system. LEAVE THE EVENT IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH RACE.
PARKING – Old tarmac road in farm grounds, follow instructions. NO CHARGE, but a donation to a charity nominated by the landowner will be gratefully received.
NO CLUB TENTS. However club pennants can be used next to team manager's cars in the car park area.
DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE START, FINISH OR ON THE COURSE – Failure to do so may result in the disqualification of the team. There is a restricted course view on the farm track on the hill, for those waiting for the next race.
DECLARATION TEAM MANAGERS WEARING FACE MASKS TO COLLECT NUMBERS FROM THE RACE HQ - farm social area.
NO SAFETY PINS AVAILABLE, BRING YOUR OWN
HEALTH SELF-ASSESSMENT (Covid-19) - prospective attendees must do this before turning up on the day, a copy does not have to be presented to the competition organiser.
TOILETS – Portable toilets
WARMING UP – NOT IN GROUPS and as indicated on the event map (field with the large pylon). STRICTLY NO WARMING UP ON THE COURSE. WARM DOWN IN THE SAME FIELD. All following social distancing.
START – Approach ready to race when instructed (spikes on). One item of clothing can be left in the holding pen (leg 1 leave at the end of the funnel).
COURSE – Flat agricultural land, two short hills. Course map here. COULD BE VERY WET AND MUDDY - BRING SPIKE TAPE (0r look at the December youngster's photos!)
FINISH – Disperse from the finish area IMMEDIATELY, no fist bumps etc.
ALL ATHLETES and ATTENDEES MUST LEAVE THE VENUE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER EACH INDIVIDUAL LEG
