All details can be found on our Track and Field Page, including individual entries (currently only for match 1) and a season pass which is valid for all matches of the season. We have taken the decision to remove the high jump from the first match due to Covid restrictions which would make the event almost impossible to hold (mat currently required to be cleaned between each athlete).
NEMAA are hoping to hold the Road Relay Champs on the 26th May at the usual location of Monkton. Of course, this is subject to change, depending on the Covid restrictions in force at the time of the race. Further details and entry form will be published on the website nearer to the date.
Covid (and Boris) allowing, the following are the provisional dates for this year's Track and Field League matches:-
Championships may be on June 19th AND/OR July 31st, depending on whether numbers of participants will be restricted.
No details yet regarding a timetable, or whether a Season Pass is feasible this year, but as soon as we have any definite info we'll let you know. We may also have to move to a pre-booked scenario, as numbers are likely to be strictly limited per match. Obviously, given the current pandemic situation, some (or indeed all) of these dates might not happen, but we are trying to be positive and hoping for the best - we know you all can't wait to get back to some proper competition!
Club entries are now open for this event - please make sure your club secretary puts a team entry in if you want to run in a team around the fantastic Thornley course in January. Full details HERE
The very last NECAA Open T&F meeting takes place at Morpeth on 18th October. This event includes hammer, discus, shot, long jump, 200m, 800m and the mile. Details and entries can be made HERE
Finally, to round the month off, we have a third NECAA open meeting at Morpeth, which will include numerous track and field events for all age groups including masters (who can throw their own age group weights), as well as the NEMAA 3,000m Track Championships. Numbers are limited due to the usual Covid restrictions, we'd advise you to get your entries in as soon as you can - entries are online only (debit or credit card), unfortunately there are no postal entries. Entries are CLOSED.
Timetable and start lists can be seen HERE
NOTE - the 3,000m champs are an open competition - medals will only be awarded to NEMAA members, but you don't have to be a member to compete.
